What is an Individual Energy Upgrades Grant?
An Individual Energy Upgrades Grant allows homeowners to make gradual upgrades to their home according to their budget, and in a step-by-step manner.
With this grant option, homeowners choose a SEAI registered contractor and apply for a grant using an online system. When the work is completed and the grant documentation has been submitted, the money is paid directly to the homeowner.

This grant is available to homeowners and private landlords whose property or home meets the following criteria:
- The home must be built and occupied before 2011 for insulation and heating controls
- The home must be built and occupied before 2021 for heat pumps and renewable systems.
